We are sad to inform our clients that our regular locum vet Sue Richardson has unfortunately passed away.

Sue graduated from Edinburgh University in 1983 and spent numerous years working with farm animals and horses. Since moving to Devon her main interests have been with domestic pets, especially cats.

Sue was a valued member of the Powderham team. She originally started working as a locum vet at Powderham Vets back in 2013 and has been coming back regularly ever since to assist when required. Being valued so much we decided we wanted Sue to do a regular Saturday once a month, this will be a hard gap to fill!

Because of this both practices (Newton Abbot and Torquay) will be closing early on Saturday 6th July at 10:30am so that staff can attend Sue’s funeral. Newton Abbot will be open from 8:30am with consultations running from 9am-10am, Torquay will be open from 9am-10:30am but unfortunately will not be offering consultations. Phones will be diverted to Bay Vet Group as per the normal out of hours service.
